never go home

We had a restless night last night.  Stella slept great but Ellen and I were restless and couldn’t fall asleep and when we did sleep we woke up again.  The dog was sick.  I think it is time for us to rent a carpet cleaner/steamer or get someone to do it for us.  In any case, I am worried about Miles.  He is nursing a torn dewclaw that will be cut off on Tuesday under sedation since the last $100 trip to the vet didn’t fix the problem.  These days he has been obsessively licking his paw which makes me wonder if that is causing his stomach to be upset…hence all of the cleanup.
