Banana
Just a quick update to say E is doing well and Rufus is doing lots of growing and some moving around…I can actually feel weird Alien-type movements coming from Ellen’s belly occasionally! We’re told that Rufus is just under a pound and is around the length of a banana.
This past week we went to see Dean & Britta and Keren Ann play a seated show at Cat’s Cradle– Rufus’ first concert in utero! The place was pretty empty and both bands seemed a little sullen but the music was excellent! We are trying to make an effort to go see some music before the birth…the next band we have tickets for is Iron and Wine! I may try to see Mr. Quintron and Miss Pussy Cat when they roll through town in two weeks.
At the end of this week, we’re hosting Margot on her Southern College Tour 2008!

iron and wine is perfect for wee rufus (i’ve read a description of sam beam’s vocals as “a don’t-wake-the-baby whisper”). are there any outdoor music venues near you? margot spent much of her babyhood seeing shows at wolftrap!

The fruit analogies for babies are cracking me up! My sister Becky’s baby is the size of a raspberry this week, and my friend Brooke has a blueberry. Let’s make a baby fruit salad!
