The rumors are true
Ellen and I are going to be parents this year! She is due in early/mid July and I have a feeling that I will be blogging about this subject a bit more now. We’ve been quiet on the blog front since E wanted to tell her work before the whole world knew. In any case, we are thrilled, mystified, excited, and anxious already. Here is our already shy kid at 17 weeks or so:
We actually had to go back for a second ultrasound since Rufus didn’t have a stomach full of fluid on our first trip. So we (I) had to worry (a little) until the second ultrasound which very clearly showed a nice full stomach. So for now, we are done with the scans and can just settle in and wait.
I have more to say about my new role, more photos to post from the last several months, and more to report as E gets bigger–I imagine there will be some baby blogging going on for the next…years!

EEEEEEeeeee! Very exciting. I am really terrible at figuring out what an ultrasound is actually depicting, but that hand is unmistakable. Awesome!

you already know how unbelievably excited i am to meet rufus, but i’ll say it again, officially!! i am THRILLED to meet my newest sweetie pie!

David! congratulations!!! Also for Ellen ofcourse. Haven’t checked your site for a while and when I opened it today I sort of had a feeling that Ellen would be pregnant. Maybe because I’ve been obsessed with pregnancies lately since I’m expecting my first at the beginning of august!! Glad things are going ok. Gorgeous hand and five fingers too! how lucky you are. I’m fine as well, Gijsbert (my boyfriend) felt “plukje” for the first time this week, quite a milestone (do you say that in English?)
