never go home

I just got off the phone with E who is in London!  She made it safe and sound and sounded pretty good for only getting an hour’s sleep on the plane.  It is pretty amazing that I can just pick up the phone and call her without it costing a dollar a minute using VOIP (Vonage).  The only disappointment so far is that there isn’t much of a WiFi signal in her room and the lobby WiFi costs two quid an hour.

This will be the longest we’ve been apart for over a decade and the longest she’s been away from Miles since we got him!  E says she will blog and post photos…I will link to them when she does.

Today Miles and I are heading to Edisto Island, South Carolina to meet up with some old work friends (of mine, Miles will meet them for the first time).  I think the two of us need the distraction–we’re already a little stir crazy!
