never go home

Things are a wee bit hectic for us here in the C’hill. E & I went to Baltimore for the annual party at Shannon and Sarah’s house. The best costume had to be Brad’s take on the Purple Pie Man of Porcupine Peak.  The couple that showed up with the excellent pilot, stewardess, and drink cart costume last year, showed up this year in the same dress but after the accident.

On the ride home from Baltimore we listened to the I’m Not There soundtrack which has a ton of music (2 CDs!) with really great covers of Dylan tunes including one by Charlotte Gainsbourg and one by the couple from the movie Once!

School is flying for me now.  I just finished a group project today on PubMed and I am on my next project which will be a war memorial in SecondLife…should be interesting!

While I am typing this blog entry, I am watching Wilco on Austin City Limits and Jeff Tweedy has a guitar with a burning squirrel patch from TAL on it!  I recently found a friend of mine from freshman year of college (Bess) who went with me to go see Uncle Tupelo (Jeff Tweedy’s old band) at the Bottleneck in Lawrence, KS…in 1993!  It is strange to realize I have been listening to him and going to Wilco concerts for 14 years!
