head update & weekend activitives
Just a quick update on my head–it is healing and looks 150% better. However, as I sit here at WSM, my usual Dr. (voted one of the best in the triangle) walked by and I found myself trying to hide the scratch…feeling like I let him down.
Stef is in town this weekend and we’re having fun hanging out, playing Scrabble, watching bad TV, and seeing the few remaining SILS folks from her class. E & Stef are out with the ladies on a knitting and pastry quest to Hillsborough while I sit here at WSM working on entering my SL journals. After spending time in a virtual world, I found a need to reread Snow Crash. I am only a couple of dozen pages into it and I really can’t believe how Stephenson has so many Web 1.0 & 2.0 ideas in the book.

You think Stephenson is crazy connected, check out R. Buckminster Fuller “gettin’ his Nostradamus on” in Education Automation. I have a copy, you can borrow it, I’ll bring it to Austin.

I’m glad it’s healing! My mom was really concerned, asked me about you every day after you left!
