never go home

I am having fun hanging out with Shannon, Sarah, and Sarah’s fun, generous family in the Outer Banks this Labor Day. I got down here, flew kites with Shannon, had a great home-cooked meal, won $5 in poker, and then won the Darwin Award of the week by swimming into the wall of the pool. S & S took me to the ER just to make sure it wasn’t anything more than a cut (I checked out fine) and then I drove us home because everyone else was sleepy. My Harry Potter cut/lump is here for documentation purposes. Other than feeling very, very stupid, I’m okay! Now I am having a lazy afternoon hanging out by the pool (NOT swimming) doing reading for school…
