never go home

All this talk about weddings reminded me of the time E & I went to a friend’s wedding out in the country about an hour or so outside of Lawrence, KS. We didn’t make it to the ceremony but we went to the reception at the local VFW (or was it a Fire Hall?). It was a classy sort of affair with tablecloths on the pool tables and several kegs of Bud Light chilling for the guests. I stole this sign from the bathroom (and held on to it for all these years):

I also seem to remember a fight in the parking lot as the reception wound down… I hope these future weddings can live up to my high expectations.
