never go home

We got back from a fun trip to Kansas earlier this week where we saw the extended family and Lawrence friends, ate lots of Lawrence food, and put together 2 and 1/2 puzzles. We didn’t take too many photos during the trip but we got a couple of the highlights. We are managed to leave Kansas without photos of lots of people including Gavin, JCB, Andrew (and his mom and grandmother), as well as DW (nr) & Cathy. We’ll get your picture next time!

I am always surprised by the horizon when I return to Kansas after a being away for a while. I miss the horizon and the open spaces when I am away from the prairie… One of the things that we missed while we were there was being able to watch a thunderstorm roll in to town. Zoe (who happened to be in town during our trip) was able to witness this AND get to hear tornado sirens while swimming in a pool!
