We went to New York for a quick weekend trip and met up with Valex. Alex captured more photos of the weekend (see his blog post and his flickr set) but I got a few pictures with this one below being my favorite.
Ellen and I actually thought about moving to New York for the briefest of moments. I quickly ended that fantasy after reading through the NYT real estate listings. We could actually afford to buy something…if we wanted to live in a studio in a not so popular part of town…for about $1000 a square foot! Miles was happy to see us when we got home and seemed to have a good time with the pet sitter.

that is such a melancholy picture. you could afford to rent in bean’s favorite brooklyn neighborhood, prospect heights!
also, did you know that sarah vowell wrote the lyrics to “everyone’s your friend in new york city”?

I didn’t know that about Sarah Vowel?! I forgot about Brooklyn too! Have you guys thought about Brooklyn?
