The future
I thought that last post was a bit depressing so I am going to list some of things I am looking forward to:
- This American Life, the TV show!
- Our weekend in NYC with Valex®
- Our Memorial Day weekend in the mountains with B, S, B, S, & S.
- Summertime at the beach with the crew
- The arrival of someone’s sibling in October
I’ve also been contemplating getting E to agree that we should take a trip around the world for real at some point in the future. We’ve been thinking about going to Sri Lanka next year and it would be the perfect opportunity to just continue the journey east/west. However, E (voice of reason) points out the issues with time, jobs, money, and the fact that we would have to leave Miles behind. You can always dream, I suppose. We also have a long list of places we would like to visit this year including Colorado, Montana, Kansas, Arizona, New & Olde England, and California. Maybe this will be the year I win the lottery and we can become true nomads in going around the country in a VW bus with our dog. Actually, it probably doesn’t take winning the lottery to make that happen…

Valex are also looking forward to the New York weekend. Sorry work is not so great. Maybe you’ll see or do something cool this week. Today I was driving and saw two white swans swimming together on the Connecticut River, then a big rainbow over I-91. There was probably a unicorn convention in Hartford, too, but I had to get groceries. Maybe the unicorns will be in Charlotte next week.

If you can teach Miles to “stay” “come” & “heel” reliably (for his own safety), he can come live with me while you’re in Sri Lanka (haven’t checked with Pop, but I’m sure he feels the same!)
