never go home

Here is a quick recap of my weekend: I got to spend about 40 hours at home this weekend with Miles while Ellen went to NJ to visit a math buddy (along with another math buddy). When I woke up on Saturday morning, I let Miles out and almost immediately, our uphill neighbor’s dog ran down to say a brief hello to Miles before darting into our house and running around downstairs. Miles was thrilled to have a guest but the neighbor wasn’t as happy as he cornered his dog and draged her home. After dog walks and errands, I went to Delta’s first birthday party! I was the only attendee that didn’t bring a child–if I had known I would have brought my boy–but it was fun nonetheless. Now, I am sitting in the airport waiting for my (delayed) flight to New York at RDU.
