This photo was sent to me from Stef (I assume from the scene at Artscape). I got in on Baltimore earlier in the week and by “in on” I mean I got to sleep “on” the floor of Stef and Brad’s house during a 10 hour power outage “in” 90+ degree heat. Actually, it wasn’t that bad…kinda like a slumber party without the bra freezing and the pillow fights but with no power and nervous dogs. It was a precursor to Saturday night where Ellen (just back from the OC) was treated to our own power going out. Today I am sore from sports…I think I have logged 30 hours plus watching cycling and soccer and my body is about at its breaking point. By the way, Ellen and I have a theory that Floyd Landis will do for hip replacement what Lance did for cancer. Maybe he will have his own bracelets but they will be made out of titanium. Just imagine the grandparents who will be inspired to take up competitive cycling with Landis as their role model.

This pic makes me think perhaps the NY marketing firm responsible for Baltimore’s “Get In On It” campaign should have added “In My Pants” to the not-so-catchy slogan.

Well, this is one grandparent with no plans for competitive cycling (or hip replacement). I’ll just limp along here….
