Big men, little trucks
Ellen, Miles, Bert, and I ate brunch in Durham after a stroll through Duke Gardens. Apparently the Shriners were having a parade which was strange because there were no spectators except for the dozen or so people outside on the hot patio at Madhatters. But who can resist little trucks and wacky old people?!
We have Bert this weekend because his parents (Braff? Strad? doesn't work as well as Valex, does it) are in our former hometown (hint, the city that used to read and used to believe). Miles is expressing his sorrow about Bert's imminent departure by consuming large portions of Bert's mane.
