Blogs and caves
I haven't been blogging so much but I have some good excuses...not really but I have been traveling a lot for work. This past week I went to Puerto Rico (where there is a LOT of custom publishing going on, actually). In my last 24 hours there, I finally got to swim in the ocean, play roulette in a casino (I kept putting my chips on 33 for Alex but ran out of money before the number came up), and go see some caves in the mountains. The caves were pretty spectacular. The main cavern was as big as the inside of an arena or church. Now I want to go to Mammoth Caverns for more exploring. My host, the local rep in Puerto Rico, took me to some amazing meals including Thai, Indian, Japanese, and Spanish food. My last day there, I encountered authentic Puerto Rican food...the menu included guinea hen and rabbit. You can also get about any kind of meat wrapped up in a plantain mash that looks like a tamale. I am going to look for a vegetarian alternative and make it some day.
So now I am back home for a day before I start traveling again. Tomorrow I go to Norfolk and then on to Baltimore to start the Amazing Race (the new season starts on Tuesday when I am Shannon and Sarah's house). Today Ellen and I walked Miles and Bert and then stopped by SBK for for cheese and egg biscuits (which we washed down with lattes from Driade). It ain't rabbit but them biscuits are good eatin'.
