Ellen and I saw Capote with Valex this weekend. Philip Seymour Hoffman is (still) amazing. I think I am going to grill my parents for some more descriptions of what Kansas was like in the late 50s compared to what New York was like when they were there in the early 60s. I imagine that Truman Capote must have blown people's minds in western Kansas. The movie was filmed in Manitoba which just makes me want to go there even more.

i haven't seen capote yet, but am looking forward to it. I am trying to forget Kansas in the 50's (but we did at least believe in evolution back then)
