Finally, my dinner at the cabin

Okay, so I am back at home (briefly) and I finally can get my dinner (or what was left of it) uploaded to blogger. The Catfish Cabin was very nice. The waitress brought a basket full of steaming hot hushpuppies and coleslaw before I even ordered my blackened catfish (which also came with fries). The very generous portion of catfish was served on the scalding hot skillet and was pretty tasty. I didn't get any photos of the inside of the restaurant which had wood paneling and pictures of old sailing ships on the open sea along with stuffed (or fake) tunas and such on the wall...which is kind of funny since I think catfish is a freshwater fish. I was also the only white guy in the place which was full of people celebrating birthdays since you can get a free meal (up to $10.55 worth) if it is your birthday (proper id required)! It was the highlight of my trip to Memphis...aside from the wet floor in my hotel room from the leaky air conditioner and the lack of hot water in the morning at the Holiday Inn Select Memphis Airport. I heard a man say to a nice employee, "Except for you, this place is going downhill quickly!"
