Shelf project

Ellen and I now have nice pine shelves in our pantry since jars and boxes didn't fit that nicely right on the metal shelves. We had some wood cut down at Lowes to the size of the shelves but since the doorway isn't as wide as the shelves, we had to solve a geometric/handyman problem which involved a small amount of cursing and pounding and then carefully removing one of the wire shelves. Basically, we ended up following the principle of WWAD (What Would Alex Do)...since he can fix garage doors, he can do minor auto body work with a swiss army knife, and he can knit pirate sweaters. It only took us a year and a half to get this project done. One of these days maybe we will organize our bedroom closet (although we are waiting for Pop to help us with that project).

Nice. We have the same shelves in our bathroom which in turn caused the same problems. Our remedy came in the form
of plexiglass. Plexiglass is fun because you get to peel of the thin, blue, plastic lining, and then voolay!
it's clear. It also gave us the clean look that we were going for in our bathroom. Martha's got nothin' on either of us...except millions$ and a
criminal record..i guess.
