A Popsicle and some beach daydreams

It is too hot again here in the suburbs...over 90 degrees. So I decided to have my first popsicle of the season (maybe my first for several years?). It was raspberry, cold, and good. Somehow, the popsicle got me thinking about the beach which got me thinking about my trip to Ocean City, MD next weekend with Show, Rob, Scott, Trev, George, Anthony, and Doug. By the way, Show and I are thinking about going into the beach umbrella business (since I am a new convert to beach umbrellas and he is fond of thinking up ways to make money sitting on the beach). ANYway, I digress...we are going to the beach and I am working on my beach playlist. For some reason, I always go back to the songs we used to listen to in the VW Rabbit on the way to Block Island in the mid 80s. I wish I could put together an accurate playlist (Liz? Adam?) but all I can remember is Prince (especially Let's Go Crazy), Peter Gabriel (Secret World Live?), Paul Young (?), and probably some Jimmy Cliff or one of the other tapes that we used to play all of the time. I also remember the moment I first heard Alanis Morissette which was on the way to OC with Ellen, Show, and Jen R. Why Alanis sticks out in my mind, I do not know. In any case, the beach makes me nostalgic for some cheesy, fun music. So...any suggestions? Meanwhile, I am ripping a borrowed copy of Secret World Live on to my iPod. Did you know that the live version of In Your Eyes is 11 mins 32 secs?

Where did we stay? It sticks in your mind because Jen R. was so excited about it.
