I almost forgot...
Yeah, this blurry picture doesn't show much but if you could see something, it would show how Ellen and I ended our evening on Saturday... No we, didn't go swimming at the pool/bar/club at our hotel. We did get a glass of champagne and sit by the pool where we witnessed a birthday(?) party for a tall black man...in heels with, as Ellen said, "great legs." I think that speedos must have been the party favor because they were handed out to the guests. We also witnessed a guy and a woman from this party get undressed and get into the pool (he in his new speedo, her in fancy underwear). It all felt like some weird scene from Absolutely Fabulous. Ellen has to start kniting our bathing suits for our next trip back to the city. I love NY.

would you recommend this fine establishment? i want to find someplace fun, preferably with men in heels and/or speedos, for when mark and i go to ny for our anniversary this fall.
Yes, I would recommend this place if you got a good price. It looks like you can get a $190 room through Quikbook.com for weekends in October which is pretty good these days. If you don't swim in the pool (I can't imagine having the nerve to do it, actually) you can also hang out in the steam room or the sauna. I can't promise the men in heels...
