More fun with Gocco!

Last night Alex and I did more printing. This time we worked with our first photo. Alex scanned an already half-toned image of a motorcycle racer guy from an old handbook on motorcycles. The image was so cool, we overloaded our Riso brand card holders with prints!

We shifted from yellow ink to green ink after a while:

The inks don't mix and so you get nice distinct colors (if you can tell in this fuzzy photo):

The photo worked so well that we are anxious to try more photos! We are going to try to use original photography but I really like the older photographs. I like the convoluted path of these old photographs to our Gocco prints (photo is taken, film developed, ends up etched on to a metal printing plate, printed in a book, book found 50+ years later, scanned, photoshopped, laser printed, exposed on to a Gocco screen, and hand screen printed on to paper).
